Started in 2007, The Fox Is Black is focused on curating creativity through culture. The aspiration is to highlight the unique and interesting goings-on in the world, particularly in the fields of design, art, music, fashion, and gastronomy. Constantly exploring paths down paths.
My name is Bobby Aaron Solomon, editor and founder of The Fox Is Black. Currently I live in Barcelona, having moved from Los Angeles after almost two decades. By trade I’m a graphic designer and creative director with over 20 years of experience. My expertise is in branding, identity design, and cultural communication. I was also a blogger a past life.
I began The Fox Is Black (previously known as Kitsune Noir) as a means of sharing all the fascinating things I discovered. At the height of its success, TFIB was pulling in an audience of nearly a million page views per month. And now, we’re at this place where social networks, and the Internet broadly, feel frazzled, and I once again crave a place on the web to call my own. My goal here is the same as it was back in 2007. To share all the wonderful things I come across, be it in real life or digitally, to give a look at all the fascinating things happening in our world.
