The cairns and markings can be confusing on the summit. Tons of wildflowers, bugs were bearable if you kept moving, and we only saw one other hiker! An 8-mile loop trail over two mountains, and two out-and-back mountain trails, along with several ponds and three large lakes, all combine to make this a hidden gem in Downeast Maine.
