Pascal Campion is a French-American illustrator and animator living in San Francisco. Since 2006 he’s been creating a sketch a day, everyday Monday through Friday. It’s an impressive undertaking and the quality of these “sketches” is really quite something. Pascal is a master of capturing light and movement and every one of his images tells a story. Inspired by life experiences and moments from his day, his work is beautifully rendered and a story unto itself.
Created first thing each morning, these digital illustrations started as a way for Pascal to develop his own art and style. Feeling that he lacked time due to his full time job, he discovered that dedicating a little time in the morning and forcing himself to do something each day really allowed his work to grow. This daily routine has really payed off and Pascal now has well over 3,000 sketches on his website – not to mention a growing legion of fans on Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, DeviantArt and Pinterest.
Pascal has worked in a wide variety of media; from games, music videos, feature films and books. His clients have included Dreamworks Animation, Disney TV and Paramount Pictures. You can see a video of Pascal in action below:
More work can be found on his website (where you can also subscribe to his Sketch of the Day project by email). Alternatively you can head over to his Tumblr where you’ll be able to find the project everyday on your dashboard!
