If you’re a fan of pop-culture, movies and retro-tinged illustrations then you’re bound to love the work of Laurent Durieux, a graphic artist and illustrator from Brussels. No matter what the genre, Laurent’s work is beautifully unique, often with a retro-futuristic vibe and plenty of sharp compositions with eye-catching details. His images have the ability to be filled with a wonderful sense of drama and story and his concepts pay great tribute to the films that he loves.
As a massive Back to the Future fan I think I have to rank that poster as my favourite, but chances are that Laurent might have already captured you’re personal favourite film in his own unique style too. Take a look on his website where you’ll find posters for everything from Hitchcock to King Kong and from The Master to The Iron Giant. Last year, Speilberg liked his Jaws poster for Mondo (above) so me that he apparently bought several copies to send to friends. If that’s not high praise I don’t know what is.
