I’m really impressed by the photography of Ákos Major. Inspired by the likes of Michael Kenna, Elger Esser and Josef Hoflehner, the Hungarian photographer has a real talent for capturing stillness and tranquility in urban landscapes. His latest series of images – ‘Stay’ – were taken earlier this year in Hungary, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
Shot with a medium format camera, his photographs are really crisp and clean with a strong minimalist aesthetic. I love the near washed-out whiteness of his work and he has a real talent for capturing light and small hints of color.
In this post I’ve only selected a small selection from his series, so I recommend you head over to his site now and check out more of his work now.
