I’m aware that it doesn’t take much convincing for me to post photographs of the Icelandic landscape, but this series by Russian photographer Andre Ermolaev is truly incredible! Looking almost like abstract paintings, his photographs highlight the beauty of nature and how unbelievably awe-inspiring the world can be.
Alive with color, his images show rivers flowing down through black volcanic sands. These volcanic rivers are a real natural wonder and for a photographer they create plenty of scope for fantastic images that combine color, line and pattern. Ermolaev is a fantastic photographer and his images highlight just how wonderful Iceland and the world can look. You can view the full set of images (along with more of Ermolaev’s work) over on his 500px page. Go check it out!
