I came across the work of Hrefna Sigurðardóttir and was surprised to find out she’s still a student. Her bold and colorful portfolio spans from illustrative typography and design to art direction and styling, including several collaborations with photographer Magnus Anderson.
Hrefna’s work has a great sense of style and playfulness that has already translated into some impressive professional pieces. I love the cover images she worked on for The Reykjavík Grapevine full of hands, props, and a stunned cat. Her work really seems to shine when photography is involved, and her graphic sensibility comes across beautifully in her photo-illustration work. You can find more of her work here.
