Silence Television is the work of Peruvian illustrator and designer Gianmarco Magnani. Gianmarco creates these really fantastic prints that combine great illustrations with beautiful typography and design. Often featuring girls, motorcycles and guitars his work feels very rock n’ roll. Indeed Gianmarco is so inspired by rock n’ roll that he seems to have created his own fictitious rock band called Sixty Watts where he’s designed album artwork, tshirts, a website and merchandise for them. Go check it out, it’s really fantastic!
What I like most about Gianmraco’s work is that each print has a vintage-feel to it yet they never feel jaded or unoriginal. Despite their retro-sensibilities these images feel totally fresh! I love Gianmarco’s crisp and clean line-work and his limited palette works incredibly well. His site also features some beautiful photographs of his work, capturing some of the beauty of his images in print. Produced as gallery quality Giclée prints (270gm matt paper), I imagine that these look particularly impressive in real life. You can see more images on his site and take a visit to his online store here if you want to purchase some prints.
