Last week I came across this interesting collection from The New York Times, a gallery of images that had been created for their various sections, like the Opinion or Sunday Review sections. Most of the time you don’t get to see these beautiful pieces of art very large, or at least not on the web, I’m not a subscriber to The NY Times. So it’s nice to see these beautiful illustrations at a size where you can truly begin to appreciate them.
I found pieces by Tatsuro Kiuchi, Brendan Monroe, Jillian Tamaki, Brecht Vandenbroucke, Rachell Sumpter, Jon Han, Victo Ngai, Jennifer Daniel, Andy Rementer and lots more. It’s certainly worth browsing through, and there’s honestly a ton of pieces to look through. I think it would be really interesting to see all of the pieces created in a year collected as a book. I’d totally buy one.
