Herbert F.Lubalin, born 1918, was one of America’s finest graphic designers. His contributions to design, be it layout or type, helped shape the future of design, and his contributions are still lasting, even today. Today, Unit Editions announced they’d be releasing a book that explored the life of Herb Lubalin in detail called Herb Lubalin – American Graphic Designer.
This meticulously researched book offers a complete career overview of Lubalin, beginning with his early days as one of the original Mad Men in the New York advertising world of the 50s and 60s, and continuing into the years of his greatest achievements as one of the world’s most influential typographers and graphic designers.
The images above are just a sample of some of the work that will be shown with more to come. Personally I can’t wait to see the cover of it, I’m sure it’ll be amazing. You can pre-order yourself a copy for around $85 by clicking here.
