While looking up Viktor & Rolf for my little post last night I noticed that there first show was titled Hyéres, something that stuck in my mind for it’s uniqueness. Then I found this beautiful set of photos by Erwan Frotin called Strangers, which documents the flowers of Hyéres, which I believe is a provence in the southeast of France, or so my research has told me. Either way, his photos are stunning.
The way he manages to merge colors and textures in such a way is astonishing. These flowers have so much life and vibrancy as it is, but his use of backgrounds pulls them and brings them so much more energy. It was so hard to choose the four images above, I wanted to post all of them. Definitely click here to see the rest of this set of photos, words really can’t do them justice.
