There’s something really amazing about the work of Junyi Wu, a Los Angeles based artist who’s drawings totally captured my attention. When I look at her work, and this is going to sound cheesy, it reminds me of a rose. It’s obviously beautiful and extremely well done, but it’s also got this dark, sort of deadly side that gives it some grit. I think that fusion of both beauty with darkness is really important, for me personally it makes me do a double take when I look at her pieces. Her work looks like it’s mostly colored pencil, though I know some of the pieces were done digtally.
