The Trinity Orchestra Covers Daft Punk
May 12, 2011 - By Bobby Solomon - Category: Music & VideoThis is one of those videos that you really need to tell everyone you know about. A couple months ago the Trinity Orchestra, the only fully student run orchestra in Ireland, played Daft Punk’s album ‘Discovery’ in it’s entirety. Sadly, they haven’t posted that yet, but they have posted a medley they put together of some of the best songs off the album, all strung together. Honestly, when the music starts I immediately started giggling, it just sounds so good. I just love that these college kids had this ambitious idea to recreate one of their favorite albums, but they did so flawlessly. I wish I was in the audience to watch this. There’s kids dancing in the audience, and so much life and energy in the room.
I was talking to a friend the other day and we chatted about how people have good ideas, but don’t feel like they can actually accomplish them. When I see a video like this it makes me feel like I could do anything, it’s absolutely inspiring.

If you've got something to say, keep it positive.Couldn’t agree more — breathtakingly awesome.
Gonna catch them in three weeks time at a festival down the road from me. Cheers for posting this Bobby, had been thinking of doing the same at some point! :)
Although some of these songs (notably “Around The World”, were off “homework”, not “discovery”
Awesome find.
Brilliant. The only criticism is the singers; they really let the arrangement down. Other than that it was great.
That was just a final Daft Punk medley performed as an encore after the Discovery album, which is why Around the World was included.
Thanks for sharing Bobby.
A-MA-ZING!!!! Thanks for posting this!
Great find Bobby, I get the same feeling while watching.
