Yesterday I mentioned that I’d been listening to the new Danger Mouse/Daniele Luppi collaboration Rome all day, so I thought I’d share my favorite song off of the album. It’s called The Rose With A Broken Neck, and it features vocals by Jack White. Now, I don’t really like Jack White, and I was never a huge fan of The White Stripes, but I love the way they used his signature vocal style in this song. I also think Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi did a fantastic job of combining their talents, the song has the soulful style of Danger Mouse with a beautiful, cinematic vibe that I feel Mr. Luppi probably brought to the table.

If you dig this song I totally suggest checking out the rest of this album. It’s a bit short but incredibly amazing… even though Jack White looks like a vampire.

“I don’t really like Jack White”

I find this very blasphemous considering Jack White is my god.

I find it odd how you managed to completely ignore Norah Jones.

@M – Just not my cup of tea.

@J – She doesn’t sing on this track, why would I write about her? If I was writing about the album I would have mentioned her.
