At the start of the month I caught the Belfast based trio Girls Names play a great little set of lo-fi pop to mark the launch of their new debut album Dead to Me. The night was great and I loved their sound so I thought I’d share a track from it with you guys. Girls Names have been making the right kind of buzz in a few small circles for a while now and it’s clear to see why. Fans of reverb soaked noise pop are sure to find some great tracks on here and it’s clear to hear influences from the likes of Black Tambourine and Jesus And Mary Chain making it into the mix. The track I’ve posted here is called I Could Die, and in typical lo-fi fashion you’ll find that it’s noisy, it’s stripped-down and it’s plenty of fun. You can pick up the LP here.
