I’ve loved Herman Düne‘s style of quirky folk rock since 2005’s Not on Top album. To me, they’re the perfect combination of Jonathan Richman and The Wave Pictures; combining plenty of catchy pop hooks with the added bonus of David-Ivar Herman Dune’s unique European lilt. Last weekend I was pleasantly surprised to find that the band had made a new video for the single Tell Me Something I Don’t Know staring the “women-love-him/men-want-to-be-him” talents of Jon Hamm.

It’s a bit of a crazy combination, but I definitely think it works (I’m biased on account of my love for both Düne and Hamm). The video is directed by Toben Seymour and it premiered on Funny or Die last week. Filmed in Texas, it’s the unique tale of a cute blue yeti and a handsome man who form the most unlikely friendship on the road. It’s probably the most perfect piece of absurd whimsy you can watch this Monday and it’s a great way to start your week!
