The Brilliant Video Projections of Dev Harlan

I’m continuing the bright colored obsession into Thursday’s videos, what can I say. It’s pretty astonishing what you can do with video projection these days, especially when it comes to object mapping. Basically you’re turning an entirely white object or room into a canvas for work to be displayed on, just like this piece above by video proj-enius, Dev Harlan. These are the kinds of things that have to be seen to be believed. The best phrase that I can think to describe his pieces is ‘mind-boggling’. The brilliant colors and patterns he lays creates and animates are entrancing, you can’t help but be sucked into his work.

I was just going to post the one video above but then I watched the video below entitled Suffolk Deluxe Electric Bicycle, 1, which is a partnership between Dev and the artists Olek, and it’s equally if not more amazing. You should definitely take the time to watch and be entranced by these, I know I was.

Very interesting – like a crocheted afghan bicycle.
