The creative folk at Big New Ideas, who are inspired by the “collective process of creating community, collaboration, and conversation”, have applied their community ethos to a new project entitled 1200 Posters. Drawing on the talented resources of artistic friends and colleagues, the project involves the release of a new poster on the 12th day of each month. The best bit, however, is that each artists’ work must respond to a line from Margaret Wheatley’s “Turning to One Another”, which supplies the project with a fluid narrative structure that allows for different interpretations and voices.
Each poster is produced in a limited run of 100, and with artists Victor Ngai, Mando Veve and Catherine Chi already involved it will be exciting to see who will be responsible for the next poster. At this stage we only have the accompanying piece of text to go on: “Be brave enough to start a conversation that matters.” Stay tuned!
