Color and Texture Inspiration from the SFMoMA

Last weekend as most of you saw I was in San Francisco on vacation and had a great time, especially walking around the MoMA. I took a ton of photos but I thought the ones above were quite nice and could perhaps provide some inspiration. I know the names of a few of these artists but I’ve decided that’s not important. What’s important is to soak in the colors, and textures and all that jazz and have a totally hippy experience looking at them.

Sometimes I think losing context to things is important. Frank Chimero has been tweeting up a storm about how words and names give things meaning. So what would happen if you pushed aside the notions that language imbues on things and instead focused on other aspects?
