Wendy Nichol

If the old adage that you can never have too many accessories is true, I want to fill my jewellery box and handbag rack with pieces from New York designer Wendy Nichol’s Autumn/Winter 2010/11 collection. Featuring spike earrings that would not look out of place in a Mad Max film, intricate cuffs and buttery-soft leather bags with fringe and stud details, Nichol’s designs achieve the right balance between edgy and feminine, polished and bohemian.

The styling for the collection also couldn’t be more spot on: set against bare branches and natural scenery, her bags and jewellery are the perfect accessories for leisurely walks on moody winter’s days. Personally, I wouldn’t go past the Canyon Brown Satchel Bag and the Small Pyramid Studs. Ahh, be still my beating heart (and credit card).
