Victo Ngai

Illustrator Victo Ngai is quite an interesting character. She was raised in Hong Kong, studies art at RISD, speaks Japanese and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin) has a British National passport but isn’t technically British and happens to be quite an gifted illustrator. Her style is really vibrant and fun, especially with her use of colors. A lot of her pieces use blues and greens as their main palettes with these amazing bursts of bright red which guide your eye to the main subject. I also really like the age and grime she puts into these, giving them a hint off age and wear.

I think we’ll be seeing a lot more from Ms. Ngai in the near future.

Cheers. I have been trying to find this website again for ages, ever since I lost the bookmark. Couldn’t remember the surname only that ‘he’ was called ‘Victor’ – The images have stuck with me though!
