‘Rubiks’ by Tom Bunker

July 8, 2010 - By Bobby Solomon - Category: Illustration & Video

I received an email from a fella’ named Tom Bunker (what a great name) who sent along a link to his graduate film he had recently completed for Kingston University called Rubiks. It’s an odd little film about a man who wakes up on a strange world, finds a Rubiks cube and then has to fight a giant head for ownership of the cube. It’s totally weird but I thought the animation was really well done and I love how he used live footage mixed in with the animation. When I see videos like this it makes me wish I had gone to school to create random stuff like this.

If you've got something to say, keep it positive.
  1. I was reminded of the films of René Laloux, which is always good. Well done Tom Bunker.
