I know yesterday was the 4th of July but I really wanted to do an American themed mix to celebrate the occasion. I suppose this mix seems a bit half ass since honestly all I did was search for songs with the word “America” in them but it’s the way they’re mixed and the ordering that really makes this mix kinda’ cool. I guess you’ll be the judge of it but I happen to think this mix turned out pretty damn well.

Love the inclusion of Casiotone/Concern’s version of “Born in the USA” and I listened to it this weekend in honor of the 4th too! I also love their version of “Streets of Philadelphia” and the Casiotone cover of “Graceland” off the Advance Base Battery Life album.
why isn’t party in the usa on here? I’m deeply and personally offended.
I love that Iron & Wine song so much. But my favorite 4th of July-esque song is definitely Sufjan Stevens singing the Star Spangled Banner.
Wow. To be honest, just reading off the playlist, i was thinking, ‘this is going to be awkward’. After listening through, its easily one of my all time favorites. Awesome accidental amazingness! Thanks for continuing to put out Quality!
