Running On Empty
June 4, 2010 - By Bobby Solomon - Category: VideoLiving in Los Angeles, even without a car, they’re still a part of my daily life. While on the bus I have to wait behind them, while walking on the street I have to be careful not to get hit by them. So of course it’s extremely interesting for me to see a video like the one above, featuring a Los Angeles without cars.
The video was inspired by Matt Logue’s Empty Los Angeles series of photo but Ross Ching decided to take that idea one step further. Using time-lapse of some sort Ross has created lots of small video montages of some rather iconic areas around Los Angeles. It was actually a lot of fun trying to spot the places around my neighborhood, and even weirder to see them completely devoid of cars and people.

If you've got something to say, keep it positive.Neat idea, but I’d love to see it without cars and WITH people. [/europhile]
@Brian: There’s people on it, even a football match if you look closer.
I totally understand and even feel related to the video, I have a car but I try to use it as little as possible, even when I live in a small city with a population above 1.25 millions
BTW, it remainded me that scen in Vanilla Sky when TOm Cruise is a bit paranoid and there’s no one in Manhattan
