The Desktop Wallpaper Project featuring Chris Bettig

May 5, 2010 - By Bobby Solomon - Category: The Desktop Wallpaper Project

This week’s desktop wallpaper was done by a fella’ named Chris Bettig who is a Los Angeles based artist and a participant in Los Angeles, I’m Yours. I’ve known about Chris’ work through theMountainLabel for a while now but it was until recently that we realized we had a lot of friends in common, so it was natural for me to ask him to create an awesome wallpaper.

I love how crafty his wallpaper feels. It’s like if you went to a flea market and took all the pattern off of old bake wear and mixed them all together. It’s got a nostalgic feeling as well, for some reason it reminds me of my grandmothers cooking. The colors are also nice and mellow, perfect for background that’s not too jarring. Thanks Chris!
