Sorry I'm going to geek out here, but it annoys me when people put that much effort into making a great looking magic card but don't know how to format a card's text. My apologies for my neurosis.

The templating for the pipe makes it a non-functional m:tg card, which may be the point, but in case you are curious here is how to more properly format it to get any function. (The reason it currently doesn't work is that it generates a comes into play trigger, which can't happen because the pipe is technically already in play when the ability is used and has thus already passed the point in which it can possibly trigger, merely changing the name of itself doesn't make it come into play again.) Even though the card is an "old school" magic card tribute, this card would not be functional during any era.

Try this to get functionality and retain the flavor:

X,T: This Is Not A Pipe is now named A Real Pipe. X target tapped permanents do not untap during their controller's untap steps. Use this ability only if this card is named This Is Not A Pipe.

This allows the ability to be played only once, but locks down the permanents (which is the correct word, since the word "card" includes cards in non-battlefield zones, like hand or deck) forever (but only during untap steps, which means someone could possibly untap their permanents through other means [i.e. twiddle]).

Also, this card would be brutal with an end of your opponents' turn Mana Short, untap play This is Not a Pipe, and Real Pipe the crap out of them. In fact, the card is so good it would never be made without reducing its power by increasing costs, adding caveats, etc.

If it was me, I would have the card somehow require a pipe token, which must be a real pipe, which would confuse the entire situation beautifully!

Again, sorry, I'm done now. : )

LOL... I kind of hate that I know the "this is not a pipe" reference because of class. Haha.
