It reminds me of Michael Chriton's book "Prey." Perhaps we do need to accept robotics as the new frontier and those little robots are kind of cool. I could always use help with little things but I am still creeped out by them.

[...] Julia Yu Tsao paints a mesmerizing picture of a future where you have an army of nanobots with displays on their backs to enhance the information you get out of your environment. Reminds me of Bruce Sterling’s spimes from Shaping Things. (via kitsuneoir) [...]

Wow, Julia really did an amazing job! Watching this robotic plague is scary and funny at the same time, though I'm not sure if I'd want them around the house... I suppose Bob is correct, but I still think that anything that creeps and can break up and reassemble at its will, it must be no good (remember the bad guy in "Terminator 2"?) ;)

@Bob - the ambient noises used in the video reiterate this fear. "Water the Dying Plant"...harsh.

@Chris - Yeah, I think our pop culture has taught us to fear robots, which to me is a big problem. We need to accept robotics as the next frontier.
