If You Could Collaborate by Michael Moloney & John Hooper
February 25, 2010 - By Bobby Solomon - Category: DesignIf You Could Collaborate is a British exhibition who’s goal is to “provide a platform for the finest creatives from all over the world to question their conventional working methods and outcomes. The contributors have been challenged to produce something a little unexpected, by working with a partner of their choosing from any discipline, profession or background.”
So what Michael Moloney, a filmmaker, and John Hooper, a photographer, decided to do was to combine their talents into one, creating a 4 minute video which documents 24 hours on a hill in the Great Langdale area of The Lake District. It’s a long beautiful shot that’s made even more beautiful by the flashes and strobes of light that dot the hills during the night time parts.
It’s funny though, at first I thought the video was moving too slowly, but then suddenly it was done and over with and I wanted more. Did you get that feeling at all?
Bobby

the landscape was amazing and I loved the light effects. It kept me looking at the video more than I probably would have without.
Wow, in fact, I think for me it was the music which kept me watching the whole thing. It fits perfectly.
