The Desktop Wallpaper Project by Atherton Lin
February 24, 2010 - By Bobby Solomon - Category: The Desktop Wallpaper Project

Hello, I hope you’re having a good Wednesday. It’s kind of gloomy here in Los Angeles today so I wanted to put up a wallpaper that might brighten your day a bit. It comes from the amazing art couple of Atherton Lin, which is made up of Jamie Atherton and Jeremy Lin. You might remember that I posted their calendar about a month ago? They got in touch with me so I thought that I should ask them to do a wallpaper since I love their style so much.
And what they sent me doesn’t disappoint. It’s one of the most idyllic little scenes I’ve ever seen. Looking at this wallpaper makes me wish that I could be there watching the ships sailing and the fog floating by. It kind of reminds of something between a Wes Anderson and a Hayao Miyazaki film, maybe if they teamed up together. I hope you like it and I hope it brings some joy to your desktop.
Bobby

If you've got something to say, keep it positive.I want it, but the 404 is keeping me from it.
This looks great, but the links don’t seem to work.
All I get is a 404 error message when I try to open it.
Crap I like this. The boats, the fog… the happy little lighthouse.
404!!!
@Everyone – Shit, sorry. They were all JPEG’s not JPG’s… wah wah wah.

This is my favorite KN wallpaper by FAR.
Just enough color and the figures are scattered so i can see the icons on my desktop. yippee!
Charming. In fact it would also be good to have a 1280×1024 version.
