63.02º Apartment
January 6, 2010 - By Bobby Solomon - Category: Architecture

Last night I was browsing the architecture section at Hennesy + Ingalls when I came across this adorable little apartment simply called 63.02º designed by Jo Nakamara and Schemata Architecture Office. The name comes from the angle of the front of the house which is positioned so the resident can take in the sight of the city as well as the next door neighbors cherry tree.
Other then that the apartment is pretty minimal (or empty, depending upon your point of view). Would it be difficult to live there? Probably. Does the idea of having basically now stuff at all cluttering your house interest me? Absolutely. Imagine how much work you could get done here!

If you've got something to say, keep it positive.I want it.
But I’d have to slide that bed out a little. I’m feeling a little claustrophobic just looking at the picture, let alone laying under that wall !
I love the look of virgin concrete but I’m not sure if I could live day-in-day out without colour on my walls.
It looks like it takes good photographs but would be hell to live in…
If there were some window coverings for privacy I would love it.
It looks like a prison cell with designer furniture.
Looks really nice! still as you say unsure if it’s really got the ‘homey’ feel!
Loving your site, some really cool posts!
I totally love this apartement ’cause I’m a true believer of minimalist design, my only consern are the freezing concret walls on winter, but I love it!!
I’m a sucker for granite/concrete and cherry blossoms. I’d like to have this as an extension to a house, not so sure if I could live here 24/7.
While it looks like a very interesting solution to a narrow site, I just can’t help but think that only Dieter, host of Sprockets, would be a suitable tenant.
There are more photos there
