listened to and loved most of these albums after you posted this BUT the flaming lips were too ambient for me today. it became more like background music.not what i was expecting but still good :)

I really enjoy AIR’s Love 2 as well as The Flaming Lips’ Embryonic, but the album I liked most this year is Merriweather Post Pavilion. Anyway this is a great list.

Great list. I enjoyed Monsters of Folk. I wouldn’t put Hospice on repeat though – it is too depressing.

Good list. I just heard by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes for the first time yesterday… pretty amazing. Haven’t heard much of the new M. Ward or Fruit Bats albums, but I like older stuff so I’ll have to check them out. Thanks!
