This week’s Mixcast is my attempt at a contemporary, indie X-Mas sing-along. The songs on this mix are from all of your favorite indie rock bands, some doing covers, others doing original pieces. It starts out fast and ends slow and smooth. I figure that a lot of you are going to be traveling this weekend and into the next week, so I wanted you to have something to pass the time and get you into the holiday spirit.
I hope you enjoy the mix and hopefully there are some songs on here that are new to you. I think it definitely turned out pretty well and maybe you’ll find some new favorites.

If you've got something to say, keep it positive.Sufjan’s Christmas collection is really good. I listen to parts of it all year round. It comes in a multi disk set with a comic, songbook and stickers. I’m glad you included him in the list. If you ever consider getting it don’t download the mp3. You’ll miss on the great packaging and goodies.

I love this. Absolutely fantastic
One of the mixcasts that’s definitely a keeper. Love the mix of temporary sounds, love the classic touch..not to mention the track by my Morning Jacket; stuck on repeat.

I’m a long-time listener of your mixcasts so I just wanted to day thanks for introducing me to so much great music every week. I really love Christmas music so it’s great to see a lot of my favourites on this one!
One addition I would really recommend if you haven’t heard it is “Yeah, I know, it’s christmastime” by Andrew Dost. It’s all about the lyrics in the first verse.. thought you might enjoy it as well!
