Will Etling

November 12, 2009 - By Bobby Solomon - Category: Photography

I randomly stumbled across these images by Will Etling from a short series he calls Above Water. There’s something about these that I like, something about the idea of a factory floating on water or seeing a fin floating not too far away from you. They’re really simple image for the most part but I can’t imagine thinking about or even trying to capture them, which I think is a part of their appeal to me.

If you've got something to say, keep it positive.
  1. I love these! The second one especially reminds me of when I used to surf and all that you could see would be ocean and sky. I miss those days.

By the way…you find the best design stuff on the web!

  4. These pictures really make me think to a photo series made by a Japanese photographer, Asako Narahashi.
The series is called “half awake and half asleep in the water”, you can see it here http://www.03fotos.com/photograph/half.html
