i absolutely love black and white. These photos are simply elegant. The message on the mail box is so humorous, it made me giggle.

ohhh my goodness. This makes me want to start shooting again. :-/ you know I often wonder how many people are out there who have this huge collection of work that remains unseen until their death or some such. I had this friend who teaches at SVA who has been shooting the street for simply years and he refuses to ever let anyone see what he has created. I know this sounds gruesome but i wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if in several years he is ‘found’ in his apt surrounded by some of the greatest work of our time..
..until then we wait.

This is absolutely amazing. Not just the gorgeous photographs, but the story behind them as well. How sad is it that they just might as well have been lost forever, if not for being bought at that auction?
