The Trailer for The Road

October 1, 2009 - By Bobby Solomon - Category: Films

The trailer for the movie The Road is finally out, and boy howdy does it look like it’s gonna be good. Based on the book by Cormac McCarthy, the road is the tale of a man and his son trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic future. Surviving is the key word in that sentence though, it’s not sci-fi and it’s not like Mad Max. It’s definitely one of the most realistic takes on the genre that I’ve ever read with it’s minimal dialogue and it’s bleak descriptions.

I’m also really excited for Viggo Mortenson, who was really amazing in A History of Violence and Eastern Promises. After seeing those movies he’s definitely skyrocketed to being one of the best actors around, at least in my opinion.

@typefiend @gelatobaby People don't like change, ever. No one even knows what it's truly going to look like, but they already hate it.
