Brian Schmitt

September 4, 2009 - By Bobby Solomon - Category: Design

I always wondered who came up with a lot of Nike’s branding, I thought it was mostly in-house, but as it turns out several awesome projects were conceived by Brian Schmitt. Brian is a freelance art director and designer living in Amsterdam and creating a ton of amazing projects. My personal favorite is The Cortez Brothers projcet, which are a pair of cute characters he created with Tokyo Plastic for the launch of the 2009 Cortez. They looks so mysterious and cool. I also loved the wall of shoes he did for the US Olympic Basketball Team, it’s so epic looking.

If you've got something to say, keep it positive.
  1. Thanks Bobby.
Sorry for the confusion. I was working from 2004-2009 in Nike Brand Design at the Global and European offices. I just left to work for a fashion brand, will post some new stuff when I can.
    Cheers,
    B
