Deanne Cheuk

Browsing over on Changethethought the other day I was reminded of the excellent work of Deanne Cheuk, someone I hadn’t thought about in quite a while. Deanne has been one of those names that I’ve seen forever. She was around when Juxtapoz and Tokion were just starting, when the Beautiful Losers were starting to finally get more recognition.
Since then she’s been awful busy, working with big names clients, creating products, making some of the most beautiful type I’ve seen. But of course what caught my eye were her amazing patterns. Deanne must dream in patterns or something, I don’t know how she does it. I’ve posted a few of my favorites here and below the cut, but definitely pay her site a visit as well, she’s what one might call, legit.

If you've got something to say, keep it positive.yes! i think deanne cheuk is what got me interested in design/illustration in the first place, right before mushroom girls virus. i remember having her peacock design as my desktop background. glad to see she’s churning out wonderful stuff, still.
She is also repped now by Mario Hugo’s new agency, Hugo and Marie. We just received their collective book and mailer to browse for illustration talent and her work was in the book. She really is talented. Hugo and Marie have some amazing people under their umbrella already.
Hey Bobby,
Any chance of persuading Deanne to do some of these amazing patterns as part of the desktop wallpaper project? I’d *really* like the 3rd one across my screen!
Really beautiful! I didn’t know her work before, it’s a really nice discovering!! Thanks a lot!
Wow! This lady has some skills! I just got totally lost on her portfolio, please persuade her to join the DWP ;)
Stunning. Absolutely Stunning.
