Check out the dark and creepy artwork of iregret, a Japanese artist that so far is pretty unknown, or at least I haven’t been able to dig anything up about him. Trying to translate his writing with Babelfish also wasn’t very fruitful. I do know the image at top has something to do with nose water, but that’s not very helpful.

Overall his pieces have an extreme realism, but they’re always moody, even if they’re splashed with colors all over them. Really brilliant stuff. Here’s a link to his blog as well where he has more work.

That’s how you say “to have a runny nose” in Japanese. It’s literally “the nose water runs”

I checked out the artist’s website cuz his work is incredible, and here’s a rough translation:

he wrote for the bottom picture, that the piece didn’t work out the way he wanted to — he was trying to achieve a watercolor look (more transparent and washy I think).

    The top picture notes translation:

“It’s been a while since I uploaded last. Here is an updated picture of this piece. I was thinking while drawing this, that I am probably concentrating on nose water (or liquidy boogers) the most out of anyone in Japan. I am almost done with this piece. I just want to bring the right eye a bit further to the right.
Influenced by Radiohead’s surprise. Carbon Monoxide poisoning.” (?)

    yay! hope that helps.
