iF Mode Folding Bike

I definitely need a bike for this summer, there’s no two ways about it. But when I get like this, I tend to notice bike things all over the place. The folding bike above is called the iF Mode and was created by Mark Sanders. It’s one of the prettier folding bikes that I’ve seen, which I think is due to a mixture of the creamy body, bits of brown leather and the black tires and detailing. All together it looks really great and very futuristic.

The lame thing is that this puppy goes for $2250, which is ridiculous no matter which way you slice it. Not in this recession…

Very pretty indeed. It is amazing how it gets folded and how close get the wheels each other, when folded.

The wheels do get close. Any idea what the folded dimensions are? It does not look that small. It also seems like there isn’t one standard component on the bike. That being said. It’s pretty :/

Can’t beat Vintage. I have one myself… along with plenty of others..

No fenders, no racks, and no clear mounting points for either.

I’ll keep my Bike Friday Tikit, thanks.

It also rolls while folded, but has both fenders and racks, and uses standard parts I can buy at any LBS. It also cost a lot less than this (admittedly pretty) bike.

Definitely iFfy especially as the price is concerned. Looks kind of cool for travel. Probably weighs a ton. I definitely appreciate the Transformers-esque design.

What kind of bike are you looking for?
