Department of Eagles’ ‘No One Does It Like You’, Ideas by Marcel Dzama
March 31, 2009 - By Bobby Solomon - Category: Art & Music VideoWhile the blog was down this was one of the most amazing things I came across. First off, it’s a music video for No One Does it Like You, definitely the best track of Department of Eagles newest album. But then they upped the ante and had the video be inspired by the artwork of Marcel Dzama. The whole video is pretty clever, and uses the sounds in the song to inspire events in the video.
It was directed by Patrick Daughters, and he definitely deserves a hand for making such a fun (but dark) music video.

Ends up reminding me more of Darger that Dzama, but I guess that piece of Marcel’s always reminded me of the Vivian Girls anyway, in hoods.
Wow, beautiful video!
there’s something so disconcerting about the image of masked faces nowadays… and this music video sums it all up. haunting, and hauntingly beautiful at the same time!
Epic video. Must be watched with headphones on for the full effect!
@Patrick:

Geez man, a girl in a red hood dancing with a gun in her hand is my new Natalie Portman.
