It features the same type of sonic landscapes and concepts in a broader way, a more complex realization made possible by the presence of a whole band. I suggest you revisit it though, because I thought the same thing at first. It sounds like it's just noise but some really beautiful melodies emerge from the fuzz. I haven't heard microcastle - it's not up on itunes yet - but I hope they haven't sacrificed that raw edge to their art for the sake of those who need something more "accessible."
