American Heart by AA Bondy

Good morning everyone, I hope you all had a good weekend. Last Week in Music was a good week with new people popping up, but sadly not all of my music is being copied so this still isn’t a true representation of what I heard, but I need to stop complaining about it, haha…

On the top of the charts was Jens Lekman, who’s songs were definitely fitting with my mood last week, so I listened to all of his albums multiple times. Then came Bon Iver, who’s album was also pretty fitting of my mood as well, very somber and melancholy. I also happened to buy tickets to see Bon Iver at The Troubador in August, and I noticed that he was playing with AA Bondy, who’s album I just recently got, so I listened to that a bunch as well, placing him at number three.

After that came Ratatat with their new album LP3, which is so damn good that their definitely getting their own post. The new album is a lot like the first two, but with a lot more interesting instrumentals thrown in. Then there was French Kicks, Belle and Sebastian, Broken Social Scene, and Death Cab.

Finishing off the list was Air France, who’s new album No Way Down is somewhere between M83 and Sally Shapiro, and overall a pretty fun summer album. Last but not least is the always awesome Yo La Tengo, who always makes things better.
