Field Trip at Bisazza

This morning I had to go over to Melrose to buy some tile for my boss. Usually errands like these don’t make it on my “List of Favorite Things To Do”, but when you’re buying from a place like Bisazza then it’s very different.

I’ve been a fan of Bisazza tiles since I first started seeing them in the beginning of Metropolis magazine years ago. It was the first time that I had really seen a company do more interesting and contemporary things with tile. Before I saw their ads when I thought if tile all I could think of were the cookie cutter model homes my mother would take me to as a child. But now it feels like there’s a sort of renaissance happening with tiles, because if you really think about it, they’re just like pixels, which a lot of us deal with on a daily basis. Anyhow, I took a bunch of photos of the beautiful Bisazza boutique on Melrose because it was so stunning. If you’d like to take a peek, check under the cut for more photos. I took them with my iPhone, but I think they turned out pretty well.
