I went to Art Center College of Design, in Pasadena, California, while Zack Snyder was attending, the same time director Tarsem (R.E.M. / Losing My Religion) went.

Zack was always a lighthearted, jokey dude but you never got the sense he’d become a huge director; you got that vibe from Tarsem more.

So it’s funny how things turned out for Zack, which I’m pleased about cos it couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.

Bottom left is the Owl guy… well, he looks like batman, because he’s that kind of superhero. It’s not a coincidence he looks like batman, but Moore didn’t just want to copy Batman, there’s a lot more about it… Just read the graphic novel and you’ll get it.

Nah, the dude in the bottom right is Ozymandias, a superhero/humanitarian who’s nothing like Batman. I think it’s the extremely blue hue that makes him look Batman-esque, but in the comic he wears purple and gold robes:

b – he’s not batman. if you’ve not read this graphic novel, you really should! as far as i can remember Watchmen is the only comic/graphic novel to have appeared on the Time 100 Greatest Novels list!
