Star Wars Opening Credits, Saul Bass Style

March 3, 2008 - By Bobby Solomon - Category: Films & Illustration

I’m really sorry that I’m posting yet another YouTube video, I’m slightly annoyed by myself, but I keep finding really fun things on there! I’ll try and space these out so that things aren’t so video intensive.

Anyhow, I’m a big Star Wars nerd, and I love me some good design, so seeing the Star Wars credits done in a Saul bass style is pretty rad. For those who aren’t familiar, Saul Bass was a graphic designer famous for creating the AT&T logo and the title sequences for several Hitchcock films. The video was created by some dude for a school project, but I can’t figure out who he is. He did get a mention on the official Star Wars Blog though! haha

If you've got something to say, keep it positive.

  3. I was thinking that this guy should do a bunch of title sequences like this, he’d probably get some good publicity.

Adding more to the Red Cross logo seems like a step backwards. Isn't the cool thing to be JUST a symbol? http://t.co/ZNoSovSR
