While this certainly wasn’t the best play of the game, I think it’s enough to give the win to Mr. Trevor Van Meter. I think he was consistently more creative throughout the game. This was a pretty cool game, especially having all the fun animations. I hope they do more of these, though I could imagine how difficult doing this would be. I’ll have to keep an eye out and see if either of the artists talks about how the experience was. All in all, a really fun match!
Well, this is the final return from Mr. Hutchinson, a really good effort. To me it looks like the guitar heroes have turned into Jay Z, Michael Jackson/Marilyn Manson hybrid, and possibly Damon Albarn from Blur. There’s also the really fun, rockstar background going on as well.
This was a really good move, and I think that James still has a chance. It’s all up to Trevor and his last move.
What’s the best way to take of invading bug monsters? Fuckin’ jam!
This goes back to the humor and creativity of Round 2, with Trevor’s art and sense of humor making this so awesome. And I love that they’re Guitar Hero guitars, not real one’s. Bonus points for massive nerdery.
I’m not really sure what this one meant. It starts out with the skull from last round, which floats away, and then the boy walks in, and hopes there. That sentence doesn’t even address the weird bugs all around the frame. This one felt kind of like a stumble more than anything. And with only one more round, James needs to step it back up.
Well there goes the neighborhood! Trevor dropped a (literal) bomb on the match, effectively wiping the slate clean and allowing for who-knows-what’s-next. You can check out the animations now by clicking on the name of the volley above. I highly suggest watching each of these if you haven’t yet.
Well the monster’s mouth got all glued up, but he’s joined by a friend though, who seems to really need to use the bathroom. The plant in the foreground still has yet to blossom, so hopefully something happens there. I don’t dislike this volley, but I was hoping more would happen, I think. It’s also the halfway mark, so now would be the time that they should start busting out the big guns!
Hmm, I’m not 100% on this. I really like the idea behind the concept, but it looks like it was kind of rushed. Which would make sense, these guys only have 15 minutes to make these things. But mostly I’m confused by the plant thing at the end.
Are those skulls? Cotton? Pieces of chalk?
Hopefully the return James clears things up.
Okay, I really didn’t see that one coming. Our heroes have had the ground lifted out from under them, and are plummeting to their doom! Or are they? Will something be at the bottom to save them? Maybe they’ll sprout wings? Hoverboards? I’m excited.
OMG. This is the cutest/raddest/most amazing monster ever. This should be a video game for the Wii. I would play it everyday. I’m so excited to see more of these insane creatures. Also be sure to visit the site and take a look at the actual animation, which is 100 million times cooler then the screenshot above.
