Happy Thanksgiving

November 22, 2007 - By Bobby Solomon - Category: Life

I’ve never been a big fan of Thanksgiving. Growing up, it was always slightly painful to see my immediate family. One of my aunt’s would talk incessantly about all the amazing things my cousins were doing, while I was “being normal”, playing video games and reading comic books. The best part of the day was always the food, even though I would fall asleep after dinner, every time.

Nowadays, though, things are quite different. I have a great job, great friends, a blog that I couldn’t be more proud of, a wonderful boyfriend, and a mother and grandmother who love me more than anything you can imagine. At 25, I wasn’t ever sure what I was going to be doing, just “something artistic”. I think I’m doing pretty well, but more importantly, I’m having a great time, and that’s what really matters.

I hope everyone who celebrates Thanksgiving has a wonderful day, and for everyone who doesn’t, sit back and think of all the great things you have in your life.

Bobby

P.S. I really want to make Kitsune Noir Turkey T-shirts based around the stencil you see up there. How rad would that be? It could make turkeys the cool new thing, like deers were a couple years back.

  4. Happy (post)Thanksgiving, Happy Anniversary – celebrate them both hard and fully and then get back here. Time to get down to BIZNASS.
