Could VInyl Be The Killer of CDs?

+Vinyl May Be Final Nail in CD’s Coffin

The article above is something I found while reading over on Wired, about how records may end up making a comeback, effectively killing off CDs along with the bigger killer, MP3s. This is a pretty interesting idea, and hell, would be pretty awesome if you ask me. Records maybe larger, but they’re more narrow, have more room for awesome artwork, and most audiophiles prefer the sound of a record over a CD.

Either way, I purchased a portable record player from Restoration Hardware, which sits in my closet, but I don’t have a CD player anymore. I personally welcome our vinyl gods.

nice collection of posts. keep it up.

Have you seen the ion usb turntable? I saw 4 carts at costco heading to the checkout with the $99 turntable. Pretty amazing. since costco only sell high volume products. Coincidently I just moved all my vinyl to the garage so to make room for the baby toys.

    Thanks : )

I just checked that turntable, it’s not bad looking, and definitely worth it for that price.
Amazon has it for $106 with free shipping, which is a still a steal.

You might need to bust out all the old vinyl again soon, maybe after the baby toys start to become bigger kid toys? haha…
