Cheer Up, Charlie

October 3, 2007 - By Bobby Solomon - Category: Films & Music

One of my close friends has been having some serious relationship problems lately, and they’ve been making him pretty down. And whenever I think of people being sad, I think one of the absolute worst songs ever written, ‘Cheer Up Charlie’. The song was written for the classic kids movie ‘Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory’, and features Charile Bucket’s mother singing to him, and being all poor.

Whenever I watch the movie, I ALWAYS skip this part, just because it’s so horrible and painful to watch. I even worked with kids for 3 years, and whenver we watched this I would fast forward this part. You can’t subject children to this sort of punishment, it’s just cruel.

On that note, ENJOY!

Bobby

If you've got something to say, keep it positive.
  1. HAHAHA – Shit, I’d need some cheering up too if my mom looked like a dog and my hair looked like a bird’s nest with a part… I bet your friend feels awesome now!
