Abkhazia: A Vacation in a Non-Existent Country

September 12, 2007 - By Bobby Solomon - Category: Photography

Check out this awesome collection of photos from the “country” of Abkhazia, which used to be a beach resort area north of Georgia. Now it’s an independent nation, with it’s own government, that no one else acknowledges as a real country! The pictures were taken by Jonas Bendiksen, Norwegian photographer who takes some really astonishing photographs. They’re all very dark, and moody, and wonderful.

He also has a book out now called Satellites, which is 156 pages and features a ton of his work.
